1850 census of Clark County, Pike twp, page 131, enumerated 24 Aug, lists this family as:
Michael Frantz, 68, VA; Susannah, 48, VA; John, 25, OH; Lydia, 20, OH; Michael, 14, OH; Samuel, 13, OH; Anna, 10, OH; Jacob, 22, OH.
Jacob is possibly the husband of Lydia. He is not likely to be a son of Michael, because Michael's daughter Susannah (who had died earlier in 1850) was born in 1828, and besides, he is listed out of age order. The age for young Michael should be 15 if the birthdate on his gravestone is correct. The age for Lydia is consistent with the birthdate Thomas Beardsley lists for her of 22 Nov 1830, but not with the birthdate Dore M. Frantz lists for her of 22 May 1831. |
