Lester Binnie's "The German Baptist Arnolds" says on p. 91 "He married (1) Amanda Isenbarger, (2) Susie Cripe, and (3) Clementine Hoover. Father of six known children: Wm Harvey, drowned in Clear Creek, 22 June 1890, age 22-9-24; Martha Annah; Charles Franklin, father of Esta; George, married Cora Miller; Calvin; Jesse Earl, b. 1882, m. Ida Metzger."
According to Lester Binnie's cemetery notes, Pleasant Hill Cemetery (near West Manchester, Pleasant twp) in Row 3 has joint stone for: Aaron Arnold 19 Aug 1841 - 6 Oct 1922 Amanda, his wife 18 Apr 1843 - 26 Mar 1926 Adjacent is a stone for Susanna Arnold, 1852-1915. But ancestor chart for Ruth Hazel Beebe on p. 10 of the Kosciusko Co. Historical Society's 5-generation chart book gives Amanda's date of death as 26 Mar 1909, which seems more consistent with her being Aaron's first wife. |
