Robert E. "Gene" Heeter, 60, Liberty Mills, died at 9:49 a.m. Nov. 7, 1997, at Wabash County Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1937, in North Manchester, to Ralph and Edith M. (Basicker) Heeter. He married Quay Jones on Dec. 8, 1990. She survives.
Heeter had been a foreman for 29 years at the former Warner Corp., North Manchester. He was presently employed at Flex-Ohm, Inc., North Webster. He was a U.S. Army and Korean War veteran and a member of the Liberty Mills United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Kevin Heeter and Kent Heeter, [West] Alexandria, Ohio; a step-son, Michael Adcox, Oscoda, Mich.; five step-daughters, Denise Lockett, Carthage, Miss., Debra Buskin and Melissa Buskin, Vicksburg, Miss., Penny Woods, Tallasee, Ala.; and Kathy Abraham, Marquette, Mich.; a brother, Alan Heeter, Warsaw.
Services at 10 a.m. Monday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. |
