In 1972 Teri was selected as a Presidential Scholar (each year two graduating high school seniors are chosen from each state,
the applicant pool being National Merit Scholarship finalists.) She got to go to Washington, D.C., for a week,
and with the other Presidential Scholars, was presented with a medal in the East Rose Garden of the White House by
Vice President Agnew.
Since getting her Master's in Computer Science from Stanford University, she has worked as a computer software developer,
for 8 years with Xerox on the Star system, and since 1987 with Adobe Systems,
on Adobe Illustrator.
She has been researching her family tree since she was 19 years old, and since June 1996 she has been the USGenWeb
County Coordinator for Rowan Co., Kentucky.
