| Eunice B. Kirkman's database86 has three additional children for this marriage, Adam born 1829, Andrew J. born 5 Feb 1838, and Susan E. born 1843. It does not make sense to me that Nancy would be having children when she was between the ages of 54 and 68 years old, and Giles did not marry Sarah Arnold until Oct 1844. So either Adam, Andrew and Susan are not really Giles' children (they might be grandchildren or other relatives who were assigned to this family only because they appear with Giles and Sarah in the 1850 census), or else Giles had another unidentified wife between Nancy and Sarah. |
