Soundex to 1910 census lists in Morgan Co.:
William G. Blair, 52; Martin E. (wife), 49; Clara, 23; Luther J., 19; Hattie T., 17; Carrie, 19; Mattie, 12; Stella T., 9; Benie (dau.) 7. All b. in KY. (It was almost closing time at the Nat'l Archives and in my rush I neglected to copy down the index number.) The indexer obviously misread some of the names. I'm not even entering the "daughter Benie" until I get other data. I am also suspicious of the age for Carrie, because children are usually listed in decreasing order of age, and twins are always listed together. Probably a 14 was misread as 19. |
