| I do not know the parents of this Charles Jones. The unusual name "Ambrasetta" for his daughter suggests a relationship to Ambrose Jones, but he is not a son of Ambrose (all whose children are known from his will). Perhaps he is a son of Ambrose' oldest son William. On the other hand, in the 1830 census of Morgan Co. he is three houses away from my James Jones Sr., which would suggest that he might be another son of William & Sarah Jones. If so, it would be evidence for a close relationship between James's father William, and Ambrose. |

The 1830 census of Morgan Co., Ky, lists on p. 59, line 7 (3 lines after the household of James Jones, and 5 lines after the household of Adam Crose):
Charles Jones, 1 male 20-29, 1 female 20-29, 1 male under 5.
By 1841 this family had moved to Martin Co., Indiana. I'm not sure where they were in 1840. |
