1870 census of Pendleton Co., Ky, Falmouth, taken 1 June, lists on p. 408, family #38:
Pettit, R.T., 38; Mary E., 33; S.E., 14 (female); James, 11; Hattie E., 5; Lee, 3; L., (female), 5/12, b. Dec; Joseph J., 31, blacksmith. "S.E." is probably the Elizabeth which Steve Navaro lists as a daughter of Richard and his first wife. The ages for Hattie and James are quite different than the 1880 census, so the age for S.E. may be off too.
