His syndicated obituary reported "Arvil R DeHart, 84, of Sandy Hook, died Thursday in St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead.
Mr. DeHart was born July 6, 1916 in Elliott County, a sons of the late John E and Elizabeth Shelton DeHart. He was a retired construction foreman with Davis Construction. He was a member of Concord Enterprise Baptist Church, Hepburn Masonic Lodge 576 and a WWII Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Ola Crumb DeHart; two sons, James E DeHart of Dayton, OH and Virgil DeHart of Sandy Hook. Two daughters, Debra Lynn DeHart of Morehead and Myrtle DeHart of Sandy Hook; two brothers, Charlie DeHart of Sandy Hook and Delbert DeHart of Huntington, WV; three sisters, Opal Fultz and Ann Vansant, both of Sandy Hook and Goldie Fugett of Joliet, IL; three
grandchildren; and four g-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook by the Rev. George Stafford and Rev. Eugene Dickerson. Burial will be in Elliott County Memory Gardens with military rites by Elliott County VFW Post 11428." |
