George M. Hall owned and operated a mill on Craney Creek. The dates of birth and death in my record are from his gravestone. (The family history compiled by Mrs. Hassard Hall says instead that he was b. 1829 and d. 19 Nov 1899, but there are many errors in that account.)
George and his oldest son Ben were among those indicted in 1868 for the murder of George's brother Isaac Hall. See my document on "The Isaac Hall Murder" for details. |
