Most information on this family and their descendants is from email correspondence with Nancy Cowan, a granddaughter of James' daughter Nancy Ann Hall.
James and Eliza Jane moved around a lot after their marriage, living in Bath, Mason, Robertson, Scott, and Harrison counties.
His death certificate records James E. Hall, died Apr 27, 1932 in Harrison Co., born May 12, 1847 in Morgan Co., parents Isaac Hall, born Virginia, and Jane Martin, born Bourbon Co, Ky. His marital status was shown as widowed, cause of death albuminuria (kidney disease), informant Tillie Hall Elliott.
(This is the only record I've seen which gives "Jane" as the name of Isaac Hall's wife. Her place of birth is also inconsistent with the census records, which all say she was born in Virginia.) |

| Eliza died of consumption, and her funeral was held at the hotel. After her death Jim lived with his children, making several visits to Oklahoma to visit his daughter Annie, and to Kansas, where his sons John and Bob were living, then back to Kentucky where his daughters Tillie and Callie lived. |
