The 1900 census says that "Willie" was born Feb 18843; but his death record says that he was 78 in 1961, and James Reeder has a birthdate for him of 19 Apr 1882, and says that he fought in the Spanish American War (which was in 1898, so the 1882 birthdate sounds more likely.) His gravestone has years only, 1882-1961.
