| George & Joanna are on p. 483 of Cemetery Records of Carroll County. Their gravestones have their surname spelled as "Quesinberry." Several of their children seem to have used this spelling also. (The 1860 census spelling should probably be discounted, as that census taker seems to have used the Quisenberry spelling for everyone.) |

1850 Census of Carroll Co., Va, lists family #575:
George Quesenberry 35, farmer, $300; Susanna 32; Tobitha 14; Hannah 12; Josiah 9; Susannah 8; Mary 5; Rebecca 3; Lucinda 11/12. All b. in Va. In his annotations, John P. Alderman adds "George (1816-1877) was the son of Thomas and Tobitha (Cock) Quesenberry and he married Joannah (not Susanna) Webb in 1835. Joannah (1817-1881) was the daughter of John and Hannah (Cock) Webb. They were cousins, both raised on Snake Creek; they are buried on Joe Banks' farm. There were 11 children."
