Notes for George A. Riddle
The birth of George A. Riddle on 10 Oct 1839 in Wyoming Parish, Bath Co., KY, is listed in the Kentucky IGI, batch #6940363, sheet 0.

Names and years of birth on children of George A. Riddle from family group sheet compiled by Hal Phillips. He gives as children of George and his first wife Mary Ferguson "Richard A., b. ca 1863; Elege S., b. ca 1868; Eder M. b. 1870." This conflicts with the 1880 census reading. It could be that Richard & Nancy renamed "Eder M." to "Charles C.", as they probably took in these grandchildren very young. Hal lists his sources as the 1870 and 1880 censuses of Fleming Co., Ky, and the 1890 census of Bath Co. (?? Few pieces of the 1890 census survived. Probably he meant 1880 or 1900.) More specific dates are taken from the IGI. I have not verified them.

Index to Kentucky Death Records lists George A. Ridle, d. 3 Aug 1924, age 84, in Bath Co., certificate Vol. 35, #17342.
