I think two Abraham Jones may have been conflated here. It seems somewhat unlikely that he would be having children at age 69. Not that it's impossible, but getting two people of the same name confused happens often enough that it should be considered.
In any event, according to Elza Cox, the Mary Jane Jones who married Daniel Peter Hylton was the daughter of Abraham Jones and Nancy Hill of Franklin Co. And Marjorie Floor Moore's family group chart for Henry Jones and Cassandra James listed their only son as Abraham J. Jones, with wife Nanny Hill. I have no data on the age of Nancy/Nanny Hill. Should check the 1880 census for Floyd and Franklin Co. |
