| Anderson C. Quisenberry in his article in Colonial Families of the United States, lists as a daughter of William Quisenberry and Agnace Morton "Jane, m. __ Smith, and settled in Kentucky". (In his Genealogical Memoranda, published earlier, he said that "nothing is now known" of Jane.) Orange Co. records do not list any marriage of a Jane Quisenberry and a Mr. Smith. This may represent someone's misremembrance of the marriage of Joyce Quisenberry and Oswald Smith. But it could be that Smith is correct, and the marriage record is simply missing. |
