Notes for Edward Sanford Quisenberry
Anderson C. Quisenberry writes that "the founder of the Illinois Quisenberrys was Edward Sanford Quisenberry, who was born in Virginia in 1787, moved to Christian county, Kentucky, about 1815, and from thence went to Illinois in 1835, where he has left a numerous and wealthy progeny. He had brothers named John, George, and James, some or all of whom now have descendants living in Christian county, Kentucky, and some of the neighboring counties." (From the birthplaces of his children, it seems that the move to Kentucky, from Fauquier Co., VA, was really in late 1819 or early 1820 rather than 1815.)

All of the rest of my information on the Edward Sanford Quisenberry branch is from the IGI, which has a lot of data on this family, despite not being documented in the A.C.Q. literature - they must include a Morman contingent.
