Vol. 1, No. 4, (July 1971) Slusher Family Newsletter says Christopher was born 14 Jun 1781 in Bucks Co., PA, as does the IGI (Batch 7003001, film 0538205). Shirley Hylton's chart says "near Lebanon", which is now in Lebanon Co., but at the time may have been in Lancaster Co. (I should check). It definitely wasn't in Bucks Co.
Christopher and Ann moved from Virginia to Lafayette Co., Missouri in 1828.
"Huffstuffel" may be a nickname instead of a middle name. "Stuffel" was a common nickname for Christopher among German speakers. |
