1870 census of Bath Co., KY, White Sulphur Precinct, lists family:
Hall, Sarah (widow) 37; Lucy Jane, 18; Marian (female) 15; David H. 13; James, 11; Sarah, 9; William, 8 mo.; Mary, 8 mo. All born in Kentucky. (Note the conflict between son age 5 in the 1860 census and the daughter age 15 in this census.) Marion Hall age 15 is also listed in Rowan Co. with the family of Sarah's brother David, and James Hall age 11 is listed next door with Caleb & Julia (Ramey) Cash.
I have not entered William and Mary with any family, because Isaac died in the Civil War, and I don't know who their parents are. They may be illegitimate children of Lucy Jane or Sarah, or they may be cousins of the other children.
Haven't located this family in 1880. Sarah probably remarried. |
