This family does not appear to be any relation to mine. But I am keeping them in my database to help track Halls of the Morgan/Rowan Co. area.
"History of Elliott Co., Ky 1869-1990 Vol. II", p.89, short article begins "Lewis Hall was born 1818/19 in Scott Co., Virginia. He was the son of Reuben Hall and Nancy Branham Smith. Lewis married Lettie Tackett, probably the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Tackett, on 29 June 1838, in Perry Co., Ky. They lived in District 1, West Liberty (it became Elliott Co. in 1869); Lewis Hall died around 1895 in Greenup Co., Ky." (The article then lists their children with some dates and spouses, which I have entered.) Note that the birthplace given for Lewis does not match what he reported in the census. |
