Stone in New Alfrey Cemetery says "Amos Pettit, 1885 - 1929". (The Kentucky Vital Statistics death index does not list any Amos Pettit or Petitt, nor any Anna Pettit or Petitt who died in 1973. It may be that they died in another state and were returned to Kentucky for burial. I should look for an obituary in old newspaper records.)
May be a son of Andrew Jackson "Jack" Pettit and his second wife Hannah Caskey. |
