| Notes for Josephine Myers |
The index to Kentucky death records lists Josephine Caudill, age 72, died 28 May 1938 in Fayette Co., residence Rowan Co., certificate Vol. 23, #11285. Bob Myers <copmyers@aol.com> reports that the certificate lists both husbands, W. H. Alfrey and W. B. Caudill. Josephine's mother listed as Polly Bohannon. Informant was Sidney Alfrey.
Her first husband, William H. Alfrey, is buried under a double stone that also lists her as Josephine Alfrey, with her birthdate, but not her date of death. It was probably inscribed when William died. She may not buried there, since she died 35 years after he did, and was married to her second husband William B. Caudill for 20 years, and the stone was never updated with her date of death. On the other hand, she is not buried with William Caudill, either. He is buried with his first wife, Elizabeth Boggs, the mother of his children. I should look for an obituary to see if it says where she was to be buried. |
