| Notes for Marion Jones |
All my data on the children of Marion Jones is from Phil McBrayer's notes. I haven't located the family in the 1900 census.
Phil's notes also listed the Marion Jones who married Minnie Crawford as the son of James William Jones and Emily McClain. But the 1870 and 1880 censuses suggest that James & Emily's son Marion was born about 1863 (he is listed as 8 in 1870 and 16 in 1880), while the Marion Jones who was married to Minnie Crawford (and is buried with her in Bowman Cemetery) has dates listed on his stone as 29 Jan 1874 to 22 Nov 1948. A discrepancy of 10 to 12 years is so extreme that I wonder if the Marion Jones who married Minnie Crawford might be a different person than the one who was the son of James and Emily. I should send for his death certificate. |
