| Rowan Co. Marriage Bk 5, lists marriage of James Riddle (22) & Lillie Brown (18) on 29 May 1902. It is noted as his second marriage, and his father is given as Nathan Riddle. However, it may be a different Nathan Riddle than the one who m. Mary Susan Prather, because that Nathan Riddle family said in the 1900 census that they had 10 children, who are all accounted for by children appearing in various censuses. For this James to be in this Nathan's family, he would have to have been born late in 1880, and have left home before 1900, and Nathan would have had to miscount his children in the 1900 census. |
