| Census Notes for Jackson Dehart |
1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown prec., E.D. 156, page 13A, lists as family #207:
Deheart, Jack, 32; Martha A., 22; married 4 years, 1 child, living; William E., 2. All born in Kentucky.
1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, magisterial district #3, records as family #12:
Jack Dehart, 44; Martha, 34; Epscott, 11; Ollie, 8; Owal, 5 1/12; Chester, age looks like "16/12", but it may be intended as either 1 6/12, or just 6/12, if the little 1 next to the 6 is an unintentional mark.
("Epscott" must be Everett, and "Owal" may be Arvil, but I can't reconcile "Chester" with the account of this family from Ora Dehart.) |
| Notes for Jackson & Martha Ann (Family) |
Rowan Co. Marriage Bk 5 lists marriage of Martha Clarke, age 18, (d/o Sam Clarke & Susie Deheart) and Jackson Deheart, age 29, (s/o Wm P. Deheart & Mary Jane), on 20 Apr 1906, at Bill Deheart's, witnesses David Clarke & Allen Dehart. (Wm. P. Dehart was thus both Martha's father-in-law and her stepfather, and her husband was her step-brother.)
List of children (and their marriages) for Jack Dehart are from Phil McBrayer's interview of Jack's half-brother, Ora Dehart. |
