Ora Dehart lists Boone's wife as "Annie Jent, Esau's daughter and the sister of Millard Moore's wife and Asa Templeman's wife."
Asa's granddaughter, Edna (Petitt) Pilcher, daughter of Sanford Petitt and Loretta Templeman, says that Asa did not marry a daughter of Esau Jent, or any other Jent. Rather, after Asa's father Lewis Templeman died at the age of 29, Asa's mother Eliza married Esau Jent. I tend to believe Edna, since she has marriage dates, birth and death dates, etc. Annie Jent was thus a half-sister of Asa Templeman, not his sister-in-law. |
