| Ora Dehart was still living in September 1993 when I visited Kentucky. He and his wife Vada had a large photograph of his mother, Susie Jones Clark Dehart, which they showed to Phil McBrayer and me. Ora is one of Phil's sources for his notes on the Dehart family. His syndicated obituary ran "Ora V DeHart, 93, of Morehead, died Saturday in St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. Mr. DeHart was born May 13, 1907, in Rowan County, a son of the late Bill John and Susie Jones DeHart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vada Johnson DeHart in 1995; a son, Jonnie E DeHart on March 23 and a daughter, Freda Mae DeHart in 1945. He was owner of DeHart Grocery & DeHart Care Sales and a farmer. He was a member of Church of God. Surviving are a daughter, Wilman Trent of Morehead; 12 grandchildren; and 18 g-grandchildren. The furneral will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead by the Rev. Cecil Ison. Burial will be in Wagoner Corner." | ||||||||||||
