Her obituary in the Rowan County News of June 30, 1949 says "Mrs. Almeda Ray Hall, 53, born July 1, 1895 at Scanton, was fatally burned Sunday at her home at Franklin, Pa. She was building a fire and mistook gasoline for kerosene. She married Floyd Hall, who survives, on July 20, 1912. Six children survive: Murvel, Erwel, Frederick and Maxine, all of Rockland, Pa., Mrs. Barney Lykins of South Charleston, Oh., and Mrs. Mitchell Lawson of Middletown, Oh. Also a sister, Mrs. Jess Mynhier of Clearfield and a brother, Joe Reed of Crown, Ky."
Her stone beside her husband Floyd gives her date of birth as July 1, 1896, and spells her name as Almeda Rae. |
