Rowan County News of 12 Aug 1937 wrote "Funeral services for Arthur Riddle were held at his home on Slab Camp on Sunday afternoon and burial was made in the family cemetery. Mr. Riddle who was thirty eight years old at the time of his death had been ill for a long time; he was in the hospital for almost a year and was brought home two months ago. He passed away on Friday August 6. Besides his wife, he leaves five children, all at home. They are Medford, Billie Jean, Leola, Glenna and Pauline. His mother, Mrs. Mary E. Riddle has been with him constantly during his illness." |
