| Notes for Abner Caudill |
| Deb Howard's Family Tree Maker site16, following Clayton Cox's "Appalachian Crossroads", shows this Abner Caudill as being married to Leah Short. But that is inconsistent with the 1880 census, which shows Abner with a wife Mary and mother-in-law Sarah Hammons, and Robin Christian with a wife Leah. Records of the Short and Christian families say that Robert Paris "Robin" Christian married Leah Short on 12 May 1864. |
