His obituary in the Morehead News of Jan 9, 1996, reads:
"Lester Riddle, 78, of U.S. 60 East, Morehead, died Saturday, Jan. 6 at the home of his son, Linville Riddle of Cranston Road.
He was born July 24, 1917 in Rowan County to the late Lewis and Allie Pelfrey Riddle. He was a retired maintenance worker from Morehead State University.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Vencill Riddle, Kenneth Riddle and Charlie Riddle, and one sister, Arizona Cooper.
He is survived by two sons, Linville Riddle of Morehead and Roger Riddle of Goshen, Ohio; one daughter, Charlotte Rice of Lexington; two sistes, Lucille Falls and Eula Gilbert of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Lane-Stucky Funeral Home with the Rev. David Starcher and the Rev. Don Evans officiating, and special music by Margaret Ashcraft and Mike Gray. Burial will be at the Riddle Cemetery in Morehead.
Pallbearers were Brian Riddle, Randy Riddle, Brent Riddle, Michael Rice, Gary Johnson and Terry Riddle." |
