His death certificate (Vol. 22, #10952) lists John Mason Riddle, d. 30 June 1951, age 85, in Owingsville, Bath Co., residence same. Marital status widowed, date of birth 22 March 1866, occupation farmer, father Harrison Riddle, mother Littie Boyd, informant Ernest Riddle, cause of death coronary occlusion, burial Bailey Cemetery, Owingsville. Note that the given birthdate and age at death is 4 years younger than would be consistent with the 1870 census, where he is listed as age 8. (At least by Patti's notes. Perhaps she misread a 5.)
His stone in a well-kept cemetery at the top of White Oak Road in Bath Co. says:
