1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hoggtown prec., E.D. 156, page 1B, taken 15 Apr, records as family #17 (between Hiram Cornett and Robert Parker):
Cornett, Wesley, 46, farmer; Ida, 36; married 11 years, second for him, first for her, Ida mother of 3 children, all living; step-daughter Eunice, 15; daughter Jesse, 10; daughter Ceata, 8. Eunice born in Nebraska, all others (including parents of Wesley and Ida) in Kentucky.
I'm not sure whether Eunice is a daughter of Wesley's by his first marriage, or an out-of-wedlock daughter of Ida's. The relationships are usually given with respect to the head of household, with a step-daughter being a child of the wife and a former husband, but it is listed as Ida's first marriage. For now, I am tying her in as a joint child, but she may need to be moved when I know which is the case. |
