| Notes for John Pettit |
| According to the 1820 Ohio census for Miami Co., John had two males under age 10, and there were three males age 16-46, 2m over 45, 1f age 10-16, 1f over 45 and one adult engaged in agriculture and 2 in manufacture. Thus it appears there were several families in this household. An Elizabeth Pettit appears in 1840 St. Joseph , Ind. census w/ David and Alexander. Since Amos stayed in Ohio, this may be John's widow. |
