1860 census, Pendleton Co., Ky, Falmouth, lists on p.457, family #245:
Pettit, William, 34; Adelia A., 30; Laura B., 10; Georgetta, 8; Nancy E., 6; Walter S., 4; Minnie, 1. William is listed as born in Kentucky, Adelia in Ohio, and the children all have ditto marks. Literally this would mean b. in Ohio, but it is apparently an oversight of leaving out the Ky on Laura.
1870 census, Bracken Co., Ky, Foster prec., (ED 9, sheet 11, line 45):
Pettit, W.W., 44; Adelia Ann, 42; George Ettie, 17; Nannie, 15; Walter, 13; Lotto (son), 9; Charlie, 7. Adelia born in Ohio, all others in Ky. Minnie apparently died young. |
