| I can't find Lizzie's burial record. There is no stone for Lizzie Petitt or Lizzie Smith in either Siloam Cemetery, where her first husband Ollie Petitt and two of their children are buried, nor in Carey Cemetery, where her second husband Pete Smith is buried, beside his first wife. Perhaps she married a third time. She was, after all, only 23 when Ollie died and 26 when Pete died. Another possibility is that her stone might be unmarked. Both of those cemeteries contain a very large number of stones with no inscriptions, including one next to that of Ollie Petitt. |
