| His obituary in the Rowan County News of Thu., June 16, 1949, says "Jesse J. Caudill, 61, died Sunday in Greencastle, Ind., of injuries from an auto accident. He married Lula Lewis. They were the parents of 11 children, of whom 9 survive: Allie Caudill and Mrs. Cletus Dehart of Elliottville; Mrs. Ollie Lambert, Oscar Caudill and Wayne Caudill of Clearfield; Mrs. Estill Lambert, Sophia, WV; Otis Caudill of Soldier; and Mrs. Gene Robertson, Streetor, Ill. Also surviving are 5 brothers and 3 sisters: Sam Caudill, Frank Caudill and Mrs. Rosa Harris, Portsmouth, Oh.; Charlie Caudill, Knightstown Ind.; Davis Caudill, Columbus City, Ind.; Mrs. Tilden H. Caudill of Rowan Co.; and Mrs. Martha Hyatt of Oregon." |
