This record is likely to be for the same daughter born in Sep 1859, but if so her age should be 1 year 8 months, not 10 months. (Another possibility is that Jefferson & Rachel had a daughter born around Aug 1860 whose initials were also M. A., perhaps Mary. There were no vital statistics recorded for 1860, and the 1860 census was taken in June, so there may be no way to determine which is the case.) |
