His obituary in the Rowan County News stated "A former Clearfield man, Claude C. Baldridge, died Friday [Apr. 19, 1963] in Loudonville, O., at the age of 62.
A son of the late Ben and Orlena Frazier Baldridge, he was born Mar. 11, 1901. Baldridge was married to Augusta Mullins, who preceded him in death.
He was later married to Ida Forrester, who survives, along with 11 children. They are: Harlan Baldridge, with the U.S. Army, Claude Baldridge Jr., Farmers; Mrs. Elsa McCarty, Salt Lick; Mrs. Hazel Bucklen, Greer, O.; Mrs. Norma McFadden, Mt. Vernon, O.; and Marvin Baldridge, Dal Baldridge, Tony Baldridge, Shirley Baldridge, Sharon Baldridge and Kathy Baldridge, all of Loudonville. Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters. They are: John Baldridge, Murlin Baldridge, Mrs. Lulu Roberts, Mrs. Lola Smedley, and Mrs. Connie Dillon, all of Clearfield; Murvel Baldridge, Portsmouth, O. and Mrs. Goldie Forrester, Martin, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Wallace Webb and Rev. Ward Bowman officiated. Burial was in Cox Cemetery. Stucky Funeral Home cared for the arrangements." |
