Grigory, 20, born and both parents born in Rowan Co., to Eve Hix, 16, born Knott Co., mother born Floyd Co., to be at bride's home (from license application), at John Hix by Presley Manier (from minister's return), witnesses Samuel Cassity and Mollie Gregory, bond surety by George A. Nickell.
(Knott County was not formed until 1884, so this probably means that Eve was born in the area that later became Knott Co., probably the part that came from Floyd, since her mother is listed as born there.) |
