The censuses are more consistent with a date of birth in 1855 or 1856 (she was listed as age 5 in 1860 and age 14 in 1870), so her year of birth may have been reported wrong on the death certificate. Morgan County birth records for 1855 and 1856 are available on microfilm; I should look for her name. |
