| Rowan Co. marriage register A, p. 89, records the marriage of Criss Myhier and Tena Baldridge on 26 Feb 1895. License/bond book 1 has no form filled out for this marriage, but attached to the inside back cover is a consent note reading "Feb 26 94 Mr. Andy Davis please ischur licens for my girl and chris mynhier under my hand Andy Baldridge attest W. Crosswhite" (The date in the register is probably correct, since surrounding entries are also for 1895. Mr. Baldridge probably did the same thing as those of us who keep putting last year's date on our checks for the first few months of the year.) |
