His obituary in the Morehead News read "Funeral rites for Roy Lee Alfrey, 44, who died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon, will be held at the Church of God at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Alfrey, a life-long citizen of Morehead, had been having the attacks for some time and had been bedfast for days.
He was born November 16, 1900, in Rowan County, the son of Pinkard and Lula Cogswell Alfrey. Surviving are his father and one son, Leroy Alfrey, now in the Army Air Corps, and a sister, Ruby A. Ruley, Morehead." |
