| His death certificate (#12592) lists Shelvy Nickles, married, occupation farmer, died 2 May 1913, age 81, in Gimlet, Moccasin precinct, Elliott Co., Ky. His date of birth is listed as 2 May 1832, but that is inconsistent other records, and was apparently obtained simply by subtracting 81 years from his death date. His parents are listed as Bob Nickles and Alcy Lawson. Informant is Jay H. Harper, who was also the attending physician. Cause of death Senile Disibility (sic) and Pneumonia Fever, with contributory factors of Exposure and Cold. Place of burial is Bob Nickles yard, Elliott Co. |
