The Kentucky death index lists William E. Hyatt, age 81, died 22 Jan 1969 in Rowan Co., residence same, certificate Vol. 4, #01927.

His obituary stated "Death came last Wednesday [Jan. 22, 1969] to William Everett Hyatt, 81 year old native Rowan Countian, who passed away at Daniel Boone Nursing Home, Morehead. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Lower Lick Creek Church of God with burial in Roberts Cemetery. Reverends L. E. Colliver and Russell Reynolds conducted the last services.

Mr. Hyatt was born in Rowan County Mar. 17, 1887 and resided here all his life. He was the son of the late Loren and Joyce (Roberts) Hyatt. He married Elizabeth Wallace who died in 1949. Mr. Hyatt leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ocie Baldridge, Clearfield; three sons - Dorcie Hyatt of Raceland, and John Hyatt and Zora Hyatt, both of Taylor, Mich.; a brother, Troy Hyatt, Morehead; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hamm, Flatwoods; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hyatt resided all his life in the Clearfield community near Morehead. Stucky Funeral Home cared for arrangements. The casket bearers were Edgar Bowman, James Wallace, Joe Wallace, Wales Trent, Harlan Dillon and Cleveland Wallace."

(There is no Roberts Cemetery in the Rowan County Historical Society's survey. Maybe it is in Bath or Morgan County.)
