William was not in the 1850 census of either Bath County or Morgan County. I have not yet checked Montgomery Co.
1860 census of Bath Co., Ky, lists as family #1683 (next door to Benjamin Sexton age 26):
William Sexton, 45, Va; Nancy, 43, Ky; Mary, 24; John, 23; Presley, 22; William, 18; Martin, 17; Prudence, 15; Obediah, 12; Nancy, 5. All children born in Ky.
He is probably the William Sexton listed in the 1870 statewide census index as living in Frenchburg, Menifee Co precinct 3, p. 432, but only precincts 1 and 2 of Menifee Co are online, and I don't have the 1870 Menifee Co census CD. |
