His obituary in the Morehead News of July 23, 1985 reads "Millard C. Crawford, 92, of Town Branch, died Friday, July 19, at St. Claire Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Catlettsburg, Mr. Crawford was a barber for more than 65 years and belonged to the First Church of God.
His wife, Cordie E. Campbell Crawford, preceded him in death in 1973. He is survived by three sons, William Crawford, Westland, Mich., James B. Crawford, Anaheim, Calif., and Gerald Crawford, Franklin, Ind; three daughters, Esther Skaggs, Clearfield; Louie Flood, Ypsilanti, Mich., and Betty Kent, Perry, Mich; four half-sisters, Leafie Jane Hall, Clearfield; Mottie Stewart, Shelby, Ohio; Bertha Hall, Muncie, Ind., and Jewell Hall, Lakeland, Fla. Also, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren." |
