Adjacent stones in New Alfrey Cemetery for John Hall, with no dates, and Rebecca Hall, death date of 1918, are probably for this John & Rebecca. But the Kentucky Death Index lists no Rebecca Hall (or Becca, Becky, etc.) who died in 1918.
Her birthplace is listed as West Virgina on the 1900 census, but West Virginia did not exist until after the Civil War. So what was apparently meant was a county of Virginia that later became part of West Virginia. |
