Rowan County News of Thursday, Sept. 26, 1929 contains this article:
"A family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jones in honor of her mother, Mrs. Isabelle Stidham, being four generations at the gathering." [I didn't leave the verb out of that sentence; the newspaper did.]
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Spencer and five daughters, Viola, Elsie, Ruby and Ruth, Mrs. Lawrence Noel (from Lexington, Ky), Mr. and Mrs Chas. Cochran and son, Carl, from Portsmouth, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Johnson and two daughters, Louise and Elizabeth of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. Mordia Maddox, Mr. Victor Mynhier and Mr. Orlando Faulkner of Miamisburg, Ohio, Mr. Homer Mynhier and daughter, Gladys, and Mrs. Glen Mynhier of Middletown, Ohio, Mr. J. T. Mynhier and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Mynhier, Mr. John Trimble of Frenchburg, Ky, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Mynhier and wife and son, Earl, Mrs. Isabelle Stidham of Bronston, Ky, Mr. Jesse Mynhier and daughter, Zona May, Mr. Criss Mynhier of Clearfield and Mrs. Rosie Jenkins and son Ralph of Clearfield, Mr. Born Mynhier and son, Masta, of Morehead, Ky, Mr. Gilbert and Carl Jones.
