Notes for Robert Riddle
His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says Robert Riddle, age 22, residence Crix, Ky, born 18 Feb 1895, occupation farmer, self-employed, married, wife and 3 dependent children.
His death certificate (Vol. 41, #20466) lists Robert Riddle, d. 13 Aug 1974, age 79, in Rowan Co., residence same. His birthdate is given as 18 Feb 1895, father Com Riddle, mother Amanda Nichols, informant Grace Bowman (daughter), marital status widower, cause of death arteriosclerotic heart disease with congestive heart failure and atrial fibrellation. Note that the age and birthdate conflict with the Sep 1893 date given in the 1900 census, but the 1900 census for Rowan Co. has so many errors on dates that I suspect the enumerator made up a lot of them.
The Social Security death index also lists his birthdate as 18 Feb 1895. His SSN 406-50-8786 was issued in KY.
